Flames on Dart

A quick update on the Dodge Dart, it's sprayed black, and the design for the flames is ready.
It will be a mix of 'oldstyle' flames and 'real' flames. The whole car is then covered in matte clear.

A year and a half ago I started my little paintshop and it is just what I hoped for, so far I met a lot of nice people, restored and painted great cars, everyday I go to work with a smile. On the rotisserie you see a '69 charger and in the background the Dart swinger from last post, it's in primer now and the doorjambs in color.
The next few days are spend blocksanding, paint it black and then the fun begins; flames!

Wild'r at Heart airbrush

I'm putting on the clearcoat after I airbrushed the logo of the Wild'r at Heart nostalgia funny car.
Rockin' Ramon himself films this and the flames from the zoomies reminds him of the 'snot-rod' from the movie Cars, so in the end you hear him imitate the snot-rod...

Matte Paint

I sprayed this Chevy Suburban in metallic blue and silver with a matte clear coat, gives a very special 'soft' effect. Since it is from a member of the Wild'r at Heart racing team I surprised him with a little airbrush on the back door.
